Hello All!
I have been working on some eCommerce supplements and I would love to talk about Route+ Shipment Insurance and the benefits it could provide for you and your eCommerce Business. So lets get into it!
Perks for your Customers:
Route is an amazing tool that allows for your customers to keep track of all of their orders through one app available on iOS and Android. It provides live tracking details about their shipments along with tools and features that allow for them to report if their package has been stolen, damaged or lost in transit. The later part of these services come at a small fee, for a test order I did on TBDC of a phone case and Beanie, it costed me $0.98USD to add this extra layer of protection to my shipment.
Perks for your eCommerce Business:
Route at it's base will allow your customers to easily track their packages and provide them with notices and updates of transit for Free and their service will allow you to view real-time analytics of how many orders and your gross revenue for your eCommerce Business. The premium features mentioned in Perks for your Customers will be charged at checkout and then added to your Payment Gateway's balance, then Route will collect for these Route+ features using a payment method you provide. The best part is that you will NOT be charged or responsible for for lost, stolen or damage packages. The premium that Route charges for Route+ will cover any adverse actions and their underwriter will payout the full cost of ordering and reshipping the order, helping you to spend more time on customer relations and managing your business.
If you have followed my Wordpress eCommerce tutorial, you will be able to integrate Route into WooCommerce with a simple plugin and customers will easily be able to opt-in and opt-out of using Route+ services prior to check out. You can check out more information for Merchants to see if Route is a viable option for you and your business and if it is available in your region at Route.com.
Thank you all for your time and I hope this review and suggestion is something that can level up your eCommerce Game!!

I was quite horrified yesterday, while listening to a BBC interview with Airport Directors, that it is still not certain whether when someone has the vaccine administered that that person can't pass on (shed) the virus. I had been unaware (due to Government propaganda to get citizens to vaccinate) that a person who has had the vaccine shot, could still be infectious - Governments conveniently or on purpose leave this out of their propaganda speeches. Governments don't even know exactly what the duration of the vaccine is. And when it should be repeated. So I guess even if one is vaccinated it's even more important to still follow all of the health protocols for Covid 19, to prevent infection.
The Airport Director interview and discussion was about the lack of uniformity among countries for rules regarding Covid 19 air travel into countries. Every country has different rules which makes airport administration for Covid 19 very problematic, confusing and costly to implement.
Bottom line for the vaccine is the vaccine is just to set the body up to fight the Corona Virus - the infection is still there and there is a chance it can be passed on. It's not even perfectly predictable whether the vaccine is going to work for the particular individual as no two persons are the same. There are always the exceptions to the rule. There is a chance the body could see the vaccine as a threat and fight the vaccine. So now what about those exceptions to the rule - how would they know they are the exceptions - how would any one know? And how infectious are individuals who have been vaccinated who are under the false impression they are OK because they were vaccinated against the virus? And maybe they're not? For me it would be logical it would make spread the virus more.

It is no secret that I am a big fan of Wordpress, due to its large plugin library and as a business owner, it allows for me to easily expand my empire with eCommerce solutions that anyone can take advantage of. This guide will help you get your eCommerce platform setup for Wordpress and on your way to selling merch and services through your online presence. All of the plugins I provide in the tutorial are trusted and provided through the Wordpress Plugin Explorer.
Goal:
The goal of this tutorial is to help you setup WooCommerce for Wordpress allowing you to get started with integrating eCommerce into your website. WooCommerce allows for you to provide physical and digital goods with a wide range of integrations from 3rd Party Developers giving you the ability to build your brand and business.
Plugins needed:
- WooCommerce
- PayPal WooCommerce Checkout Gateway
- WooCommerce Shipping & Tax
- WooCommerce Stripe Gateway (optional)
- Route App (optional)
- Printful Integration for WooCommerce (optional)
The Process:
1. When starting to venture into eCommerce, you first need to layout your plan. Are you going to sell Merchandising including apparel, prints or even furniture or will you be selling digital goods and services. There are several avenues you can experiment with when beginning this process on both sides, with physical goods making up a large percent of the eCommerce market. If looking at physical goods, the optional plugin of Printful Integration for WooCommerce would be a great tool for you, especially if you do not have the capital, space or time to build product inventory. We will get into drop shipping companies later on in the tutorial and installing the plugin is very easy.
2. Begin installing the WooCommerce Plugin. Once the plugin is installed, activate it and it will automatically take you through the setup process. The setup process will include inputing your business location and even if you plan on selling digital or physical goods. With TBDC, we are currently only selling physical goods, but I plan on setting up an Envato-esque selection of products including custom Wordpress themes, HTML5/AngularJS themes and even UI Packs for iOS and Android Developers.
3. Once you have setup WooCommerce you can begin to install your payment gateway(s). PayPal will allow for you to easily accept credit, debit, installment and e-check payments with a few clicks of a button and signing into your PayPal account. The plugin comes with great documentation for support on getting everything to mesh well. With Stripe, you will be able to accept credit and debit card transactions and the dashboard will allow for you to accept ApplePay and GooglePay so your customers can check out with even more security. Stripe will take a nominal 2.5% off the top of your transactions, but they also provide powerful tools with their backend that can allow for you to refund payments with ease.
4. If you are setting up your store for physical goods, you will then want to set up WooCommerce Shipping and Tax and your integration into Printful which is a drop printing and shipping company. They allow for you to create and design artwork for merch and apply it to a wide selection of products. Orders are placed through your store then fulfilled by Printful and shipped out within 1-3 business days to customers across the globe, you are able to set your profit margins which is helpful for funding future projects and even upgrade your plugins to premium versions which provide a large range of services and customizations for your store. WooCommerce's Shipping and Tax plugin will allow for you to dynamically charge tax for orders based on the customer's locale and will help manage shipping labels all in your Wordpress Admin Dashboard. This plugin is also great for collecting tax on digital goods that way you are collecting tax based on your local and the customer's locale laws.
5. Add products and services! If you are using Printful, when you publish an item it will automatically sync to your storefront which is another great feature of the platform! If you are providing a digital service or good, make sure to set your store to test mode using the PayPal integration and Stripe integration settings to test how transactions work to ensure they will work for your customers.
There you go! eCommerce on Wordpress is as simple as adding a few plugins and registering for your accounts with PayPal and Stripe. If you have further questions or ideas please feel free to let me know down below and I will assist you as best as I can. Happy selling!
If you wish to sign up for Printful's services, you can use my affiliate link by clicking here. If you wish to register with Prinful and forego the affiliate process, please use this link! FTC Notice: I will receive a small commission when a new Painful user logs in and makes their first sale. This commission helps to fund future TBDC projects and upkeep of various products used.

Hi,
Today I am going to tell you guys about a new online tutorial and test practice app. It is Amazon Academy from Amazon. Still in Beta and totally free.
I saw it in google app store and installed. I like to explore such apps as I hope that some entity will develop an unified, universal and free app for math study and science study.
Online news sources saying that it is going to remain free for the next couple months. SO I am going to take as many mock tests as i can. I love those.
This app has live lessons, practice and tests sections. I tried live lessons. works nicely and math appears to have some competent tutors over there.
It has maths, physics and chemistry so far as I can see.
Next I aim to check the tests section.
I hope all of you who love science or know someone who loves science or need help in learning the +2 level topics, this is the time to dive in. As long as this app remains free.
Brilliant dot org was awesome as long as it was free. still very good.
enjoy..

@Dynamo, per the request of @deanhills I am starting a thread to get some clarification on Affiliate links. I am working on a tutorial for eCommerce and Wordpress and one thing I was going to touch on is drop printing and shipping options. I have an affiliate link with a company and can provide the information via PM to avoid an infraction by posting the company's information on the forum until we have a discussion. If it is decided that affiliate linking of any nature is prohibited, I can rework this section of the tutorial to just talk about the options as a whole and will communicate this section with the Admins and Mods just to make sure that everything is on the up and up.
Thank you for your time!
Thank you for your time!
SolidCP is the control panel used to manage VPS 15 generously provided by @cubedata
This thread is intended to be specifically about SolidCP - I'll plan to make a review of VPS 15 specifically in a couple weeks, but I hope this topic will be useful in helping me get the most out of it.
My initial thoughts: the UI could use a little work. There's nothing "bad" about it, but I definitely will not accuse the engineers of placing form over function. It's something in my mind more similar to Webmin in appearance, compared to something with a smooth interface like Ajenti or Cyberpanel. It's basic. I'm a bit of a minimalist so I really don't mind this at all.
The backend is a bit slower than I'm used to. Keep in mind that I'm a Linux user for 20+ years, and the slowness that I'm perceiving could be due to the simple fact that Windows is a heavier software than what I'm used to. The backend could actually be incredibly fast for a windows server, I just don't have any experience to compare. What do I mean by slow? VPS functions like reboot and reinstall seem to take quite a bit longer than they do in SolusVM, for example.
The user/account system seems unnecessarily complex - although the complexity may have benefits I'm unaware of. There are different tiers of access: Customers, Spaces, Plans, Addons. While the system is complex, it seems very powerful with a lot of different options. After a few minutes of clicking around and a little googling I was able to create a space for a VPS and create a VPS in it. One thing I really like about this panel is it can manage multiple instances (although with 1 instance in the pool I'm unable to test it). In the plans area you can define quotas and limits for bandwidth, inodes, etc. The addons section has loads of options for different server configurations such as mail server, db server, web server, etc etc. I tried to create a Proxmox addon but was unable to get it working. I'm assuming this is because of the way Cubedata has it configured - I don't think Proxmox is loaded at the host level and nested virt seems disabled - but still very neat that SolidCP can manage different virtualizations (Windows HyperV & Proxmox)
Since I'm a linux user, one of the first things I tried was a CentOS install. Cubedata has Centos 7 & 8 loaded in the DVD drive. Over the console I was able to complete a full install. The process was very much like installing from DVD on a local pc, with the ability to partition the drive, etc. I tried to install both 7 & 8. It should be noted that I had networking problems with Centos 8 when I attempted to configure networking with DHCP. When I installed 7 I manually set networking using the settings provided in SolidCP and had no issues.
The virtualized performance of Centos on top of windows server wasn't the greatest. I'll share the benchmarks of virtualized Centos when/if I'm able to get benchmarks of the windows server for comparison.
I reinstalled back to windows to do some more testing, and here's where I've hit a roadblock. My first problem to overcome was keyboard shortcuts. To log into windows console, you have to press ctrl+alt+del - which is my keyboard shortcut for task manager. After I disabled it I was able to attempt to log in. However, windows doesn't seem to be accepting my password. I think maybe it's due to some of the characters I used, so I change password to an alpha-numeric pass with no special characters. The console warns that it may take some time for changes to apply to the vps. After 8 hours of sleeping I still can't log in. I can see 3 possibilities: I am using the wrong credentials to log in(setting my pass at the wrong place) or the password change feature is broken or it's really really slow.
Here is screenshot of the area where I change my admin pass -
I don't know at this point if there's something else I can try or if I should submit a support request. Is there a default pass or backdoor?

I first would like to say thank you so much to @phoenixwolf for setting up this amazing offer for the Post4VPS Community and extending the BladeNode services to us. This review will walk everyone through my initial thoughts of DirectAdmin and some of the great things I have been able to accomplish with this hosting opportunity since getting into it.
DirectAdmin
Now this is the first I have used DirectAdmin and I am honestly very impressed with the panel as a whole. It is snappy and responsive on all of my devices from my MacBook down to my iPhone. I am able to login and manage the hosting anywhere in the world. As a power users, I value security and one thing that I noticed when I first logged in was the ability to set up Multi-Factor Authentication and as a frequent flyer of this security protocol I was very happy to see that this was an additional layer of security offered in the panel.
The features I am really enjoying are the FileManager, SQL Database Manager and the PHP Version Manager. These systems are very similar to the interfaces found in cPanel, but they don't come with some of the bulk that cPanel has in some of their interfaces.
- File Manager - The manager is very responsive and intuitive once you get in there and start playing, one thing I think that could be improved on is syntax highlighting, you currently do not have any syntax highlighting in the default text editor in File Manager. I do not think that it is something that @phoenixwolf is able to implement, but that being said text is legible and there is not any lagging when it comes to entering text.
- SQL Database Manager - The system is super sleek and easy to create a database and PHPMyAdmin is my favorite GUI based manager so I have absolutely no critiques for this feature.
- PHP Version Manager - Now this system is almost identical to that found in cPanel you can quickly add PHP Packages and modify your PHP Version with a few clicks of your mouse. One thing that I noticed is that when selecting a PHP Package the check box does not automatically say selected. You must refresh the page to confirm that that Package has been enabled.
My goals:
Now with this opportunity, I am hoping to continue the development of my CMS. I think this is a wonderful opportunity to develop software with the limited storage that way the software is optimized for smaller hosting packages so more developers and web admins have the ability to use my solution! Development is underway with a new framework and I cannot wait for you guys to see it!
Once again, thank you @phoenixwolf I cannot wait for you to get this into the hands of more customers and I am excited for what the future holds!
DirectAdmin
Now this is the first I have used DirectAdmin and I am honestly very impressed with the panel as a whole. It is snappy and responsive on all of my devices from my MacBook down to my iPhone. I am able to login and manage the hosting anywhere in the world. @phoenixwolf
I've got a strange thing happening that is a first in my WordPress experience.
Every now and then when I'm in the WP Dashboard Chrome gets an issue with the BladeNode sub-domain I'm using (the sub-domain you gave me: http://directadminlessons.6srv.net/wp-admin)
It resolves to:
https://server_name/wp-admin/
Like so:

Once it's there I can't get out of it. It happens only when I am in wp-admin. Only way I can get back in is to get rid of all cookies and then start over again.
Like logically I would think the issue must be the database. With localhost? Or is it a Chrome issue vs how BladeNode has set up something? I don't have the issue with Firefox (yet). Although I'm using chrome as the main browser. So can't say for sure. But if I get rid of Chrome cookies then it gets fixed again. Until the next time.
